Trump Iran Deal Red Lines: The administration of US President Donald Trump has set three strict and non-negotiable conditions, or red lines, for any possible agreement with Iran. US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant made this official announcement during a White House briefing.
America’s 3 red lines for the Iran deal
According to Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, President Trump has made his position clear in the cabinet meeting. If Iran wants to make an agreement with the US, it must follow these three conditions.
- Uranium must be handed over: Iran must completely hand over its highly enriched uranium.
- Ban on nuclear weapons: Iran will never be able to try to obtain nuclear weapons.
- Free movement in the Strait of Hormuz: The movement of maritime vehicles through the Strait of Hormuz must be kept completely free and open as before.
Suspense remains over deal reports
Recently, there were reports that a tentative agreement had been reached between the two countries for a 60-day ceasefire and to move forward with nuclear talks. However, Besant refused to officially confirm these reports. He said that discussions are underway between the teams of both the parties, but everything depends on what the President wants to do. It would be wrong to say anything before the President’s decision. He will make a great deal for the American people, he will not accept a poor deal.
