Israel Warns US: The rising tensions between Israel and Iran have raised the specter of war in West Asia. The US has repeatedly warned Iran of military action, during which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is visiting Washington on February 11, 2026.
Israel’s warning to Trump
Israel has warned US President Donald Trump in clear terms that if Iran crosses the ‘red line’ of its ballistic missiles, Israel can launch a military attack on Tehran alone, even without American help. Israeli defense officials believe that Iran’s aggressive missile program is a major threat to their existence, so they are not ready to compromise on their security under any circumstances.
Israel not satisfied with ‘limited action’ on Iran
Israel is worried that Donald Trump may opt for limited military action against Iran, as was done against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. Officials say that if the US is satisfied with attacking only a few targets, then Iran’s main military and missile capabilities will be safe and Israel will have to bear the brunt of it. Amid these serious discussions, the future commander of the Israeli Air Force, Brigadier General Omar Tishler, will also travel to the US with Netanyahu, which indicates an aggressive strategy.
Iran’s categorical refusal to discuss ballistic missiles
On the other hand, the ongoing talks between the US and Iran in Oman do not seem to be yielding any concrete results. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made it clear that Tehran will not discuss the issue of ballistic missiles or their regional organizations (proxy groups). Iran has also rejected the demand to permanently close its nuclear project.
Challenge to Western countries
Amidst these tensions, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has addressed the public and said, ‘The true strength of the nation is not only in missiles, but in the firm determination to give a befitting reply to the enemy.’ Rallies are to be held in Iran on Wednesday to celebrate the Islamic Revolution, on the eve of which this statement is considered a big challenge to Western countries.
