India-US Trade Deal Framework: Bad news has come from America for Pakistan. America and India have announced a framework for a trade deal, but this has greatly increased Pakistan’s concerns. The question is, what did America do that made Shahbaz Sharif and Asim Munir lose sleep? In fact, America has considered Pakistan-occupied Kashmir i.e. PoK as part of India. India has always believed that PoK is an integral part of India and Pakistan has illegally occupied it. Now America has also put its stamp on this matter of India. The map that America has released clearly shows that Pakistan’s occupation is illegal and PoK is a part of India.
Post on India’s new market opening for American products
The Pakistani rulers are shocked to see the map that the US Trade Representative’s Office (USTR) has used while providing information about the new interim trade agreement between India and the US. The map released by the US shows the entire Kashmir as part of India. According to this map, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) is also included in India. This map shows neither the Line of Control (LoC) nor any disputed area; everything is clearly shown as India.
What is special about the map?
In fact, the USTR had made a post related to the interim framework of the trade agreement between India and the US. This post talked about opening new markets in India for American products (such as dry fruits, dried distillers grains, red sorghum, fruits, etc.). The US wrote in its post, ‘From tree nuts and dried distillers grains to red sorghum and fresh and processed fruits, the US-India agreement will provide new market access for American products.’ But the map attached to this post caught everyone’s attention, in which PoK is shown as part of India.
A big sign from America
This map released by America is not just a picture, but a big sign of America’s changing ideology. India has always said that the entire region of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is an integral part of India. This also includes PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan. Now such a map coming from the official account of America means that Washington is accepting India’s point. This is also a sign that America is no longer neutral on the issue of PoK. This matter has come to the fore with the recent India-America trade deal. Both the countries have agreed to reduce tariffs and the framework of the trade deal.
